1. Who We Are

laboratories.app is operated by HOSST, and is currently a pre-launch informational site — not yet a live health platform.

2. What This Notice Covers

This notice explains how laboratories.app handles information during this pre-launch, waitlist-only phase. It does not apply to the full Lab Tests & Diagnostics platform once it launches — a new, comprehensive Privacy Policy will be published at that time.

3. Information we collect

Waitlist email address. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, based on your consent. This is the only personal information you give us directly.

Analytics data (only if you accept). If you click Accept on the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 collects information about how you use this site: pages viewed, time on site, approximate location (country/region, worked out from your IP address), device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is not linked to your email address. If you click Reject or ignore the banner, none of this is collected.

Your cookie choice. We store your accept/reject choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every visit. It contains no personal data.

We do not collect any other personal data through this site, and we do not use advertising or social media trackers.

4. Why We Collect It

We use your email address for one purpose only: to notify you when laboratories.app opens. Our legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form.

5. How Long We Keep It

Until we've notified you of launch, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.

6. Not Medical Advice

laboratories.app is an informational, pre-launch site. Nothing on it constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for decisions about your health.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to ask what information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Contact privacy@specialists.app to exercise any of these rights.

This site operates under the laws of England and Wales, in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. The supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. Cookies and similar technologies

This site sets no analytics cookies and loads no analytics or tracking unless you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject or ignore the banner, analytics stays off.

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets two cookies to recognise your browser across visits: _ga and _ga_<property ID>, for analytics only, lasting up to 2 years.

Always (strictly necessary): your accept/reject choice is stored in your browser's local storage so the banner doesn't reappear. It contains no personal data.

We use no advertising, social media or other tracking cookies.

Changing your choice. Use "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to accept, reject or withdraw at any time. Withdrawing stops analytics and removes the analytics cookies. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

9. Changes to This Notice

Applies to the pre-launch phase only; will be replaced by a full Privacy Policy before laboratories.app opens to the public.
